New Glasgow Regional Police respond to truck fire collision

On August 19, at approximately 11:50 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police and Trenton Fire Department and Emergency Health Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on North Main Street, where a 2021 Dodge Ram was fully engulfed in flames. Preliminary investigation indicated that the truck was travelling south on Main Street and left the roadway and came to rest near a variety store.

The 50-year-old male driver was taken to the Aberdeen Hospital with injuries.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage as the truck was fully engulfed in flames.

North Main Street was closed to traffic for hours as traffic was detoured.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
