Nominations Open for New Glasgow Volunteer Awards

Nominations for the Town of New Glasgow's Volunteer Awards are OPEN.

There's no shortage of outstanding volunteers who play a vital role in making our community a better place to live, work, and play. Celebrate their dedication and show your appreciation by nominating them for a volunteer award.

The Town of New Glasgow is accepting nominations for the following awards:

• Provincial Volunteer of the Year
  Every municipality and First Nations community in Nova Scotia selects an outstanding community representative volunteer to receive the Provincial Volunteer of the Year Award.
• Michael Thiey Award
  Recognizing an individual for their commitment and efforts towards improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Town of New Glasgow.
• Carlton Munroe Music & Event Memorial Award
  Recognizing an individual for their ongoing commitment to arts, music and culture.
• Culture & Heritage Award
  Recognizing an individual for outstanding or exceptional contribution towards safeguarding or preserving our local community and heritage.
• Scott W. Weeks Community Leadership Award
  Recognizing an individual from New Glasgow’s business or professional community that demonstrates exceptional community leadership.
• Youth Leadership Awards
  Recognizing engaged youth who go the extra mile in support of our community.
