The Town of New Glasgow wishes to advise residents that a fireworks display has been authorized to be held on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at 10 p.m. at the North End Recreation Centre in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the North End Recreation Centre.

While we look forward to celebrating together, we want to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. Here are some important reminders:

Pets and animals: Fireworks can be very distressing for pets. Please keep your animals indoors and create a safe, quiet space for them during the show. Consider playing some soothing music to help calm them.

Individuals with sensory sensitivities: Fireworks can be overwhelming for those with sensory sensitivities. If you or someone you know may be affected, consider using earplugs and watching from a distance or moving to a quieter area.

General safety tips:

Keep a safe distance from the fireworks launch site.

Follow all instructions from event organizers and safety personnel.

Keep an eye on children and ensure they stay in designated viewing areas.
