Our Mission

New Glasgow Fire Rescue Satation 33The New Glasgow Fire Department offers specialized services and personnel trained in fire services, medical first response, motor vehicle collisions, Hazmat aid and ice and water rescue.

The Department is also a member of a county-wide mutual-aid agreement where they respond when needed to emergency situations throughout the region. Responding to more than 250 incidents annually from their station on Dalhousie Street, the New Glasgow Fire Department is proud to educate, protect and serve our community.

The force includes a Chief and Deputy, eight full-time operators, five spares and 32 paid on call members. Feel free to stop by and meet the friendly staff who are always happy to show you the trucks, answer your fire safety questions or give you a tour of their facility!
