The Town of New Glasgow wishes to advise motorists that Vale Rd. between Tremont St. and Merigomish Rd. will have traffic control in place periodically starting Monday, September 23, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily for approximately 6-8 weeks, weather dependent. Updates on the construction completion will be posted on the Town’s website and social media.

The road restrictions are necessary to permit the construction work of a new sanitary sewer along Vale Rd. followed by a new road realignment of this section of Vale Rd. to address safety concerns at the existing intersection of Vale Rd. and Merigomish Rd.

Detours will be in place; motorists are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible.
