ICE UnitThe New Glasgow Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) is responsible for investigating crimes against children over the internet including such crimes include, but are not limited to:

  • Possession, Accessing and Distribution of Child Pornography
  • Sexting
  • Voyeurism
  • Child Luring
  • Child Exploitation

The Unit was formed in 2010 and is run by one Detective Constable for online investigations and one Special Constable for computer forensics. The Unit works regularly with other police agencies across Canada and the United States to track down predators and identify victims.

The public can submit tips at Cybertip.ca, a national website for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children.
