Watermain Break Repair at Intersection of McColl St. and Nelson St.

The Town of New Glasgow wishes to advise residents and motorists that crews are repairing an emergency watermain break at the intersection of McColl St. and Nelson St. that will impact water service on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 8:30pm until 8:00am Saturday, May 17, 2025, and a full traffic detour will be in place for Nelson St. and McColl St. at this intersection for the full duration.

Water work will impact water customers on McColl St. (Chisholm St. – MacDonald St.) and Nelson St. (Granville St. – MacGregor St.) causing a possible loss of water from Friday, May 16, 2025 from 8:30pm until 8:00am Saturday, May 17, 2025. Customers may experience low pressure and dirty water for a short period following the work and should flush their system thoroughly to remove any residual dirt.

Traffic control will be in place on McColl St. and Nelson St. Full road closure is in place at the intersection of McColl St. and Nelson St. Please drive safely through this worksite and be aware of pedestrians, workers, and work vehicles
